Process

How It Works

A transparent, rigorous three-step process ensures the most deserving candidates are recognised each year.

Submit Nomination
Anyone in the IIOE community — learners, educators, institutions, or partners — can submit a nomination for any of the four categories via the online form by August 31.
2
Review Panel
An independent panel of 12 education experts from UNESCO, ICHEI, and partner universities evaluates nominations against published criteria over a six-week period.
3
Award Ceremony
Winners are announced and honoured at the annual IIOE Summit in October, with global live-stream coverage and a permanent place in the IIOE Pioneer Hall of Fame.
